We’re pleased to announce two new additions to the MTT engineering team, strengthening our nationwide service offering and continuing our commitment to technical excellence and customer support.
Laura Smith and Sam Atkins have recently joined us as service engineers, each bringing with them a wealth of experience and practical expertise across the CNC sector. Their appointments mark an exciting step forward as we expand our capabilities and enhance the support we provide to customers across the UK.
Laura Smith
Laura joins MTT with a strong background in fixed and sliding head lathes. She brings hands-on experience in CNC servicing, mechanical rebuilds, and preventative maintenance, along with specialist skills in toolroom work, jig and fixture repair. Laura has worked across a broad range of CNC systems and is known for her precision, technical knowledge, and professional approach to every job.
Sam Atkins
Sam brings over seven years of experience in CNC machine service, with a career spanning installation, diagnostics, breakdown support, and spindle rebuilds. He has worked extensively on systems including Soraluce, Hyundai Wia, Hartford, Hankook, and Takisawa, and has deep experience with complex multi-axis lathes and heavy-industry CNC systems. His practical mindset and problem-solving skills make him a strong fit for the MTT ethos.
Both Laura and Sam have already hit the ground running, supporting our growing client base with high-quality engineering services and contributing to key projects across the UK.
